Concert preparation and soundcheck

The artist will arrive at the host's space at the time agreed upon with their instruments and necessary equipment. While the musician sets up and do a soundcheck, the host can do the final touches in tidying up the home and last preparations.

TIP: We recommend the artist to arrive at least one our before door open to have time for setup and soundcheck.

Doors open

Guests will begin to arrive around the time you set as "doors open". The host should greet them at the door, check their tickets, direct them where to place their shoes, jackets, tell them where the restroom is, and guide them to the space where the concert takes place.

TIP: It is helpful for hosts to have a printed list of their concert guests to check off as they arrive. If the host are serving snacks or drinks, guide your guests to the "station" at arrival.

Right before the concert

When everybody has arrived, and found their seats. The hosts will give a short welcome, share practical information and why they decided to host this concert, introduce the musician(s) and turn over the stage to the music.

After the concert

People might hang out a little to chat or get a selfie with the musician (and host!), but they tend to leave politely and fairly quickly.

The day after

All attendees, including the host and musician, will be prompted to leave reviews of both the host and musician. These reviews can help others get a feel for the experience and can encourage hosts and musicians to create their next concert.
